Guest guest
- I am in the same exact boat--my husband needs this surgery too-- He is getting less and less freaked--but I know he's internalizing it--really afraid that something terrible will happen to me. Kris S. on Dr. Baltasr's list had the same resistance with her mother and daughter--who after seeing Kris' success and health both got switched. So you need to do everything you can for yourself, and may even have to suck it up a little when it comes to pain and recuperating so as to make him see how this will benifit him. (Don't ignore obvious problems, but don't be a whiner about every ache and gas pain--you know what I mean) You may want to have some one else besides him at you side during the early recovery to assist you, and reassure him. Men aren't good nursemaids and are way more nervous. That is why my sister is going with me to SPain. My hubby can be around when the worst of it is over. Hope this helps. Guest guest
, it is almost the same for my DH as well. He is moderately supportive of me, but always says " If you're sure you want to do this to yourself. " He needs the surgery just as badly or more so than I. I'm hoping if I get approved and he sees how marvelously my health improves he'll go for it himself. I want to keep him around a long, long time... --stella
