Shonda is right Colleen and Shonda are going to celebrate today our anniversary of our surgery. Hard to believe a year has gone by but it has. Today is a special day, around this time i was getting up to take a shower to go to the hosptial for surgery, I was the first case and Shonda the second, we had just met in person the day before and had dinner together with our husbands.I remember getting up early to take a walk to get my blood moving before my surgery. I remember Shonda getting to go home the next day and I had to stay two nights, ( i was so jealous) Having someone so close to this journey has really helped and we have kept in touch and in some ways its like we are going to a mini highschool reunion or something lol. This process is almost like reliving the birth of a child, remembering all the little details and preperations and I think it was nine months of waiting until i got my surgery. So cheers to us and all of

What a

great story. This is the kind of thing

that I love to read. So much of my

journey has been alone. My wife does not

get it, my parents do not get it, my friends do not get it. I know if it were not for all of you, I would

not be able to continue down this road.

To read about two people, who after a year of change and growth are

still connected is really a beautiful thing.

that I love to read. So much of my

journey has been alone. My wife does not

get it, my parents do not get it, my friends do not get it. I know if it were not for all of you, I would

not be able to continue down this road.
