Guest guest
Kirkland is almost four and he has B.O. I don't know why he has it so young. I assumed it could be from allthe meds he's on. I'm not sure its the meds... started with it at age three...at four we started putting deoderant on him and if we forgot his Kindergarten teacher would send a note home saying she couldn't work with him smelling like that! But he wasn't even sick until age 5.5, that we knew of so we wasn't on meds until he was almost 6. We only visited an endocronologist one time and he was the most idiotic dr we ever saw...didn't have a clue about anything I was trying to ask him...and I actually thought was going to punch him... got between the two of us to 'protect' me b/c even though he didn't understand what the dr was saying, he understood that he was not being nice to me. ah memories! was growing the beginnings of hair in his pits too...the neuro (who was our lead doc in Memphis...Korson was our mito doc) just couldn't figure out all that stuff...would be interesting to have a drs take on it. Its especially interesting b/c on the MitoAngels list we have noticed three different ages that many of our kids seem to be when they have passed away. ONe of them being age 10ish...which is the beginning of puberty for the girls especially...which has made us wonder (and discuss) the effects of puberty on a mito body. deb...mom to three great kids and wife to one amazing guy!www.LifeofLoveProject.orgwww.debwells.com
