This may seem elementary to some, but in order to remember things, as soon as the idea pops into my head I write it down on a sticky note and place it where its most pertinent. Grocery list go on the door jamb of the kitchen cuz if I put it on the fridge I'll forget it when I'm leaving. Lot's of notes get stuck to the front door so that I don't forget things when I'm leaving. We use a huge family calender hung on the wall in the kitchen where we put EVERYTHING on. Son's work schedule for the week, doctor's appts, soccer practice, etc. When I'm having a headache, my daughter's dad has set-up the back porch with a comfy chair, my eye covers, box with medicine to make me feel better. There's also a fan out there because for some reason the "white noise" of the fan

soothes me.I just bought a pill box with compartments for the days of the week because sometimes at the end of the day I panic because I can't remember if I took my medication that morning. Costs little, but worth millions in stress relief.Naa KoshieRose wrote: I was thinking about the fatigue thing & all the ways we devise to deal with it. Naa Koshie,

I do something similar. I bought a dry erase board and put it up on the

door in the kitchen. I write down things as I think of them. My

husband is also responsible for putting things on there as he sees them

getting low. He uses a lot of sugar - I never add it to anything - and

I have no way of knowing unless he writes it down. At first he was

against it wondering why I couldn't automatically just check it but some

days I can't even remember my name. But now I have him trained and it

works pretty well.

The idea of the special chair with the eye covers sounds wonderful.

What a great guy.

Debbie and Naa Koshie,

I have to keep a book to keep up with appointments and things to do. I

got mine at the Family Christian store. It has quotes and bible verses

in it and it keeps me up to par. I just have to remember to write in

it.

Does anyone have any idea on how to keep the meds straight? I got a

pill box but I can't remember if I haven't filled it up or if I took all

the pills in it. I have tried various types and have run into the same

problem.

Thanks.

Terri, I used to do one or two weeks at a time. After I started getting most of my meds by mail order, with 3 months worth, I bought some more pill dispensers & I fill them up for 4 weeks at a time. I only take meds twice a day,so I have 8 dispensers, marked Week #1 AM, Week #1 PM, etc. While I'm filling them, I can jot down on a piece of paper any that need refilled soon, or any OTC that I'll need soon, like Calcium, Prilosec, etc. This has helped me considerably. Because of all the kids I have around, I keep my meds locked up in a tookbox & just keep out the dispensers for each week. This has really helped me, and I only have to do it once a month. I keep the list of meds needing refills, etc. on my fridge, so I remember to order them.

Hi Terri, What I do is keep a list of my meds so I can refer to them when I fill my pillbox. As I go down the list, I put each of the meds in one at a time. That's the way I keep track of what goes into the box and where. Otherwise, I would forget one or another. I take nine types of medication each day, so I need a list to keep track. Isn't it fun to do this once a week? LOL Debbie Co-Moderatormosaicgirl1 wrote: Debbie and Naa Koshie,I have to keep a book to keep up with appointments and things to do. Connie, my cell phone has a great alarm system. I can set up to 6 alarms a day, either one time alarms or daily repeats. I type in what the alarm is for, because sometimes it goes off & I'm wondering, "What the heck is that for?" There it is, right on the screen, "Take Amox for dental appt" or whatever.

Rose, What a great idea! I'm not too good figuring things out on stuff like that, but I will have to have my son look at mine and see if it will do that too. I am good at taking my meds in the morning when I get up and at night when I go to bed, but during the day I always forget and remember too late. Thanks, DebbieRose wrote: Connie, my cell phone has a great alarm system. I can set up to 6 alarms a day, either one time alarms or daily repeats.
