Guest guest
We have the opportunity to go down and have Dr. Ponseti do the treatment for our little girl once she has arrived. It's about 6 hours from home and my husband wouldn't be able to come for much. Insurance will only cover as out of network so it'll cost us about $4-6,000 more for him to do the treatment. Our other option is most likely Gilette Children's in the Twin Cities. They have 3 Ponseti approved doctors there and I'm sure they are very good. We will meet with them in August. I'm just wondering others experiences and whether or not you thought the trip and additional expense was worth it. TIA!

Guest guest
If you have the time and the mean to go to Iowa, there's noone better than the man himself. However, if it would be a huge hassle, go to the Ponseti approved guys and if you don't get the results you want, go to Ponseti then. You have time to find out if the DRs nearer to you will be ok. We traveled from Ga tot Iowa and paid out-of-network expences. In our case, it so, so very worth it. jramals wrote:We have the opportunity to go down and have Dr. Ponseti do the treatment for our little girl once she has arrived.
