Guest guest
I lost half my hair while on a heavy dose of prednisone. As it was lowered it began to grow back. I now have a full head of hair again just shorter than usual. I thought it was a combination of the prednisone and methotrexate. I am still on metho so it must have been the prednisone. It will grow back as the dosage gets lower. That is the good news. The bad news (as far as I am concerned) it grew back curly almost frizzy. I had wonderfully straight hair before. Oh well at least now I have hair again. Oh yeah it never all fell out, just got quite thin. Happy thanksgiving and have a wonderful holiday with family and friends. To all of you, God Bless this Holiday season. Jackie [sPAM] Hair Loss Hi All, Has anyone experienced hair loss from being on Prednisone? I have been on it steadily since March and I have noticed losing more and more hair when I shower and every time I brush my hair. In all of the info I have read about the side effects of Pred, I have never read anything that suggests hair loss as one of the possible side effects. I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their hair??? I am not on any other immunosuppressent, just Pred, vit D, Tums w/calcium, fish oil capsules and MSM/Glucosamine. Also, Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! Hugs, in UT

Guest guest
Hi there My hair on one side fell out also. When it came back in wow curls. However only on one side. lol I was told it was the Methotrexate and Predisone combined. Well it is back and I just take a little more time and straighten the one side and curl (a bit) the other. The longer it gets the better it is. Good luck and hang in there. Just remember it makes you unique. Jackie from Wisconsin [sPAM] hair loss tony. my hair also started to fall out and they have never been ableto tell me why. Before i got diagnosed with sarc they said it was justmale pattern baldness but i have always felt it didnt sound right thenone doc did say it might be connected to my sarc but he didnt know, mean while half my hair has fallen out, Matt in Sea
