Hi Dawn,

What you are going through sounds like something that I went though last year. I ended up in the hospital for 4 days because they thought it was my gall bladder and I had all kinds of tests done and they never found the reason for my pain and I was in extreme pain. I have been fortunate that I have not had another attack since. I had every test possible including a CAT scan and a MRI. I am still being followed by the Gastroenterologist. I still have one more test she wants to run. I do have a standing lab order in case I have another attack to go to the lab and have work done within 24 hours.

I sure hope they find out what is wrong. Mine just went away just as mysteriously as it showed up.

Just to update...I had the ultrasound this morning and they found no

trace of gall stones whatsoever; in fact said that my gall bladder was

squeaky clean..not even " sludge " in there :)

Just as an addendem to all this...I had a friend who practices

hollistic medicine, suggest doing a gb flush with 2 c. olive oil and 1

c. fresh squeezed lemon...I had done 2 of these flushes over the past

two weeks (we wont even talk about how hard it is to get and keep down

that much oil)...who knows maybe it really worked and it's just taking

time for my system to settle back down to normal:)

That's great that they found no problems with the gall bladder, but

frustrating as heck that you still don't know what was causing the

pain!

I know what that's like, too - I've been going through on-again/off-

again pain in my lower right abdomen & groin for about a year now. My

PCP ran me through ultrasound and a CAT scan; my OB/GYN did a complete

pelvic workup - nada! And the pains will be almost unbearable for

several weeks and then vanish almost completely for a few months.

On the plus side, I now know that I have no ovarian cysts, no sign of

cancer or fibroids, no endometrial build-up or abdominal adhesions, no

abnormality of the hip joint, etc. Best guess seems to be a weight-

related musculo-skeletal strain of some sort. <shrug> Another good

reason for WLS, in my opinion.
