LOL! I think a lot of us do notice that. Everett's big toe nails are plumb

funny looking they way they poke straight up on the ends. It's sort of the

least of my worries though, kwim?

s.

Just wondering, besides the curly toes if any one has noticed anything

else with the toes. My son's, Karter's, big toenail on both feet is

pointing up and does not lay flat. We have talked to ped. about this

and she thinks from wearing sock all the time and said it will go flat

with time. Has anyone else notice this in their child?

My 's do this as well, and they are so hard to clip. I think this was

discussed a few months ago, and several people responded with the same answer.

I think the casting has a little to do with is also, but I don't think I will

ever really know! :)

I have noticed that has smaller toes nails. I tried to tell his

developmental doctor that it was from casting and his feet are small anyway,

plus I hardly have a little toe nail, but he said this was something else to add

to his list, like a small mouth and asymmetric ears, both of which no one ever

sees when we tell them this! :)

Our daughters big toenails also point upwards (the rest of her toes

look fine), they are like little daggers! When we lay down and cuddle

together, I have to either have socks on her or pants on me, she loves

to dig them in and thinks it is so funny when mommy says OUCH lol. Mind

you she thinks it is just hilarious any time I hurt myself lol!

The doctor we see for her cf said that this is common and that they

would flatten out when her toes/feet get bigger.

My dd' big toes on both feet (only one was club foot) point straight up and look

like little tiny slits. I have to keep them trimmed or they grow into the shoe

and I'm afraid it would irritate her. I've never seen toenails point straight up

like that, but hadn't thought to ask her dr. I hope your dr. is right and they

do flatten out over time! But, you are not alone :)
