We decided to go to the grocery store this evening about 7:00PM. The

sky looked like it was going to rain. It was a little windy and a few

drops of rain were starting to fall. My sugar cube husband wae

telling me to hurry up getting out of the car. He hates to get wet

when it rains.

We got into the store and I scootered around the store picking up

things from our list. The lights flickered a couple of times while we

were in the store, figured it was from the rainstorm. We left the

store and were on our merryway home. About one half way up our

street which is a mountain road we saw some red flares in the street,

I wondered why they were in the street. We then saw very quickly why

they were there.

If you recall we live on a road that is between two mountains. The

road is one lane up and one lane down. Pretty rustic and it is ever

so pretty. Especially when it snows.

Well low and behold as we rounded the bend in the road before our

house there was this treeing with a trunk about 1 1/2ft in

circumfrence laying accross the road with electrical wires all around

us,

It was pitch black so we couldn't see if our home had been hit, Most

of the trees are from 15 to 20 stories high. A few years ago we had 7

removed because of being so close to the house, like 3 feet away.

Well we called 911 and reported everything, then called my son Joe

who told bob to bring me to his nouse then they could access the

damage to our property, Well God was good again, the house was spared.

Unfortunaly when they cut the tree if it falls like Bob thinks it

will it probably knockout our springhouse which collects our water

supply for our home. Not to worried about this because Bob says it

can be easily set up again in another section of our land.

I think it is funny how somethings scare the whits out on you and

fortunately this is not scarey to us. We have been without water for

a few weeks when we had a draught many years ago

So we have the privlege of the night at their house, sleeping on

their lovely new love seat and sofa. They are really comfortable and

also very pretty.

Well stay tuned for the next chapter in our saga.

Hope you all are having a painfree night and we are happy to know

that no one was hurt. Bob says there are many trees fallen on the

road above our home.

Blessings to all
