Hi! My name is Melisa and I just joined this list a couple days

ago. I'd like to tell you a little about myself.

I'm married to a wonderful, supportive husband named . We have

three girls, ages 9, 10 and 12. I'm 32 years old my BMI is 46.

A friend of mine recently had this surgery and told me about it. I

checked out the web page and after looking at the RNY and then this,

I knew the DS is what I wanted! So, I'm on the research part of the

whole thing.. like which insurance would be more apt to approve me

given my dx's of diabetes, high blood pressure, ortho problems, etc.

My husband just started a new job, so I figure if I do all the

research now, when open enrollment comes in March, I'll be better

educated to pick the right insurance, and then start the process of

getting the right docs and approval going quickly.

I'm on digest, because I can see this is a pretty chatty group! I

look forward to hearing from you and learning from you. Thanks for
