Guest guest
Thanks Diane! Maddie's PCP is writing a letter today with that exact information- hopefully I will have it by tomorrow. There is just no way I can find anyone to care for Maddie, much less the other 3- everyone I know either works or has kids of their own, and don't know enough about Maddie to keep her safe. I would be an awful juror anyhow- all I would be thinking about would be my kiddo's! Thanks for the advice and support. Holly Jury duty/help Hi everyone! I received a letter yesterday summoning me to jury duty for 2 weeks! Has this ever happened to any of you? I'm a mom of 4, and I home-school my oldest daughter, take care of Maddie 24/7 (she has 10 hrs. of home-based school/therapy a week provided by the public school system), try to keep the 3 year old out of trouble and breastfeed my son all in a days work. There is no-one to watch (or teach or feed!) the kiddo's. Maybe for 2 hours, but not for 2 weeks! Has anyone ever been exempt from jury duty for being a primary care-giver? I live in NM, and I can't seem to find any laws about it. I'm writing a letter to the judge this week to try to explain our situation. Thanks in advance if anyone has any advice. Guest guest
Good luck Holly! Hope that your doctor's letter does the trick. I agree with you...I would not have been a very focused juror either. I don't always get to my e-mails in a timely fashion but did see the picture of your kids. They are beautiful! Take care.
