We've been out here almost 2 months now and I've done really well

with it all especially knowing how blessed we are to be able to have

her here with Ponseti. However, today I'm really bummed after

hearing Ponseti expects that we will be out here at least another 3-4

weeks or more. I'm desperately missing my son that started

kindergarten this year. I'm sorry to complain but it's really hit me

today. I don't want to miss being home for Halloween, too.

had x-rays done today and then a doctor from Canada that flew in

today also saw her. Both him and Ponseti we're really looking at her

little feet closely as he is trying to figure out his course of

action at the end here where her feet are suddenly not responding as

well as he would like. Please keep her in your prayers as I'm hoping

that all of a sudden things will fall into place again. Earlier in

her casting we were slowed down quite a little bit when her one heel

would not drop and he was afraid it was stuck which would have added

2-3 more weeks of casting, but suddenly the next cast change it

dropped down. Hopefully this is the case now and suddenly things

will start moving again so we can get home before the end of the

month. (Today was her 11th cast change.)

In regard to the symposium, we'll be there as is going to be

introduced to the doctors on Saturday and then today they asked us to

be there Friday as well in the morning. I would love to meet up with

any of you that are coming out here for it and hopefully we can all

go to dinner as suggested in an earlier e-mail by someone in the

group. Take care!

Aw Joyce, I know it's hard. Hindsight being 20/20 and all too bad you didn't

just bring your son with you. Kindergarten is no big deal, nothing you couldn't

have covered with him at the RMD house :( We were only there 3 weeks last

time but I took my Kindergartener son's school work with me there. Not like

there isn't plenty of time on our hands there huh. Have you managed to get

out and about so you're not suffering cabin fever?

Joyce,

We will be there for the symposium and I am really looking forward to

meeting you! Theresa emailed you I think, regarding dinner on Friday

night, that will be fun. I will probably be away from the computer

after Thurs. morning since we will be driving up to Iowa in the

afternoon, but I will probably see you on Friday morning as well. I

was originally planning to go to the symposium just for a learning

experience and then our doctor, Dr. Dobbs from St. Louis (that's

where I am too) asked us to participate in the symposium so we're all

going.

See you soon!

Joyce-

Please let me know if there are any creature comforts you and

may want or need! I know this group would love to help you

make your time at Iowa more manageable. Although we can't get your

son/family to you, we may be able to help other wise. Think about

how fast these 8 weeks have gone-4 might seem like a long time but

it will go by quickly. Let me know if there is anything I can do to

help you and ! Sje certainly is a cutie bug!

Take care,

Hi ,

Somehow I missed Theresa's e-mail about dinner Friday night. I will

see you at the symposium on Friday as we'll be there in the morning

as well. Take care and looking forward to meeting you.
