Guest guest
Hello dear sponsors, friends and potential sponsors: My National AIDS Marathon Training is going great! Last week I completed my three full cross training workouts (Mon, Wed, Fri): 200 push-ups 1080 sit-ups 3 hours of circuit training using free weights On Tues and Thurs: I did my maintenance runs of 4 miles each. I ran along the Embarcadero, through Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Aquatic Park. I also did some hill work on Telegraph Hill, running up to Coit Tower and then down the Filbert Steps. Wow! The views are just spectacular. I'm feeling GREAT--no injuries--with just a little soreness in the shoulders from time to time after my weight training. It's amazing that I've been able to build up my push-ups so quickly, and after those work outs, my biceps feel like they are bursting out of my shirt. I should be ready to go shirtless by the summer street fair season in San Francisco! (Yeah right! LOL) While I've been having a great time meeting this challenge to complete the SF Marathon in July of 2006, there are many men, women and children who are challenged every day because they live with HIV/AIDS. I dedicate my training and my run to my dear friend Troy who is living life to the fullest with HIV, to who is near and dear to my heart, and to the more than 500 members of my church, the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco, who have been lost to AIDS. My generous sponsors have donated $695 so far, so I only need $1005 more sponsorship dollars to reach the minimum required to participate in the marathon, but the deadline is fast approaching--April of 2006! The SF National AIDS Marathon Training team has raised $100,692 so far. Our goal is to raise $1 million dollars to help keep the men, women and children who are dealing with HIV/AIDS alive until there is a cure. If you haven't already done so, you can help me achieve this dream of running 26.2 miles in the San Francisco Marathon. But more importantly, the money we raise will allow the San Francisco AIDS Foundation to continue to provide vital AIDS services and support needle exchange programs throughout the Bay Area to help stop the spread of HIV/AIDS. Proceeds will also fund the Pangaea Fund, a new initiative to support vaccine preparedness and HIV treatment access in the developing world. Please consider sponsoring me at www.aidsmarathon.com. I'm participant (runner) 6010 in the San Francisco Marathon. You can also request a form from me if you prefer to donate by check. Thank you for your support, whether financial or not, Francisco Caravayo 2005 Half Marathon Finisher Loser of 153 lbs Winner of a new life

Guest guest
Francisco... I'm proud of you!! Unfortunately, I'm having a bit of a back problem at present, so I've been told I can't train for the marathon. I'm hoping I'll be able to "catch up" when it's all better. In any event, I plan to sponsor you again, but I have to wait a bit due to financial commitments. Just didn't want you to think I'd forgotten you this year!
