Guest guest
Hi All, I have my surgery scheduled with Dr. Gagner for September 10th. My bmi is 62, so Dr. gagner said that he would try to do the whole procedure at one time, but I might have to go in two parts. My plan was to try and lose some weight before surgery (which just is not happening). I also wanted to try to get moving, as I have read on this list that it is very important to move after surgery, and if I can't move NOW, how will I be able to move at that point???. My problem is that I am so out of shape and sedintary that any kind of exertion (however small), makes my heart pound, my body sweat, and my asthma act up (especially in the heat). I really want to be able to go into the hospital in the best shape I can be, (which is not that great right now), but I have so much trouble moving, even getting out of bed to go to work is a chore. My daily routine consists of 12-14 hours of sleep, work, and more sleep. I have no energy at all. I was thinking that maybe I have a touch a of sleep apnea, even though I am really not aware of it, but someone posted that after she got her cpap machine she had alot more energy. Any suggestions for getting myself ready for surgery? I appreciate all the help the people on this list have been. I look forward to learning new things every day. thanks alot, denise in ny Dr. Gagner sept 10 _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
