San Valley, CA Support Group??

Is anyone out there from Southern, California (San Valley

area) interested in group therapy for post-op DS patients?

My name is Mindy. I don't post here often, but I am post-op. I had my

surgery at USC in December/2000.

I am trying to put together a WLS Group Therapy Group. I have found a

psychiatrist that is willing to facilitate this group in Woodland

Hills, California.

The group would be limited to 7 people (first 7 to contact me) -

preferrably post-op. The group would be held every other Thursday

Night at 6:00 p.m. at the doctor's office office which is 5 minutes

off the 101 freeway at Topanga Canyon Blvd. The group would start

in mid to late October and will be 90 minutes long and the cost would

be $50.00 (depending on your insurance, some of this may be covered)

per session per person with a commitment for 4 sessions - and then we

will decide if we want to go forward as a group or not. If you cannot

commit to at least 4 sessions, please don't get involved.

share the information with Dr. Rappaport so she can contact you with

details of the group.
