Guest guest
Hello, I started my journey at SSF Kaiser and now I have ben transfered to Richmond. I have an appointment with Dr. Braggs at the end of March. I have been at my goal weight since Dec 2005 and was originally told I would have my surgery in Feb. Well now that I have been transfered I'm not sure what Richmond will expect. I have continued to keep my weight down. I'm down a from 324 to 275, I'm 31 yrs old and 5'9 for those intrested. I have a question about the protein drinks. Every morning I have a protein drink because I start my day at 5:30 am, it holds me till lunch and it works. I have heard alot about how different Kaisers preach different things about this. What I'm wondering is Dr. Braggs going to have a problem when he reviews my food log and see's that I have a protein drink 4 days a week for breakfast? Any in put would be great. I just want to have my surgery ASAP and would hate to have another delay. Timing is everything. I just finished school. I have become a Phlembotomist and now I have 90 days until they place me into a externship so I'm hoping to have had my surgery before this incase my extership leads into a full time job. Thanks for any input.

Guest guest
Richmond Kaiser is against the shakes, but being you came from SSF in the journey they will understand. Dr Baggs is a wonderful person, just explain every thing to him and he will work with you. Tell him about your intership and you already have the 10% off and if all else is done, it probably will work for you. Take care. Let us know . Guest guest
Dr. Baggs is great. I think he will tell you to stop the protein drinks but I am almost positive that he would not postpone your surgery because of this. I am post op and do 4 protein drinks a day even though KP Richmond says not to. It works for me.
