Guest guest
Darby, I have heard that from others as well. However, 's has always been set at 70. Maybe email or call Dr. Ponseti and see what he recommends. Shook Retail Operations Manager/Baking Instructor Vie de France Yamazaki, Inc. 2070 Chain Bridge Rd. Guest guest
Darby, There is something about the shoes and the way they are made that negates 10 degrees or some such. However, ours have always been set at the 90 mark which would then make them 100 wouldn't it? LOL Hmmmm.. now that I think about it I can't answer this one! LOL I recall someone saying that they checked and because of the way the shoes are made the 60 degree setting is correct but alas we've never been able to enjoy that setting so I'm not so sure. I hope someone else responds who knows what they are talking about!! ROFL! Sorry - it has been one of those days! Chris Q about Shoes Liv got her p/m fab on Friday - yay! So far so good, she hasn't slipped out once, and I'm thrilled - they are so easy to get on and off, much better than the Markells. Anyway, my question is this: it appears like they are set to 60 degrees? Do I need to move them to 70 myself, or are they supposed to be at 60 for some reason? Anyone know?? Guest guest
REal quick, gotta take dh to the airport. It's the other way. I compared them to her Markell brace and 60 degrees wasn't enough. at 70, they're exactly like her old brace. Guest guest
huh? LOL Kori you lost me... are you saying I should adjust them to 70 or no? I compared them to Livi's old markells and they don't seem to be exactly the same angle. Guest guest
Darby, I took it to mean that you'd need to move it to 70 as it measures the same as the other brace. But then I could be wrong about that... Chris Q about Shoes > > > > > > Liv got her p/m fab on Friday - yay! Guest guest
Are they all set at 60degrees? Now that you brought this up I took a look at 's P/M brace and hers too are set at 60 degrees. But, I went back over Dr.Ponseti email from her 3month check up and he did make it a point to tell me that her shoes should be set at 60 degrees and if they are not to turn them myself to 60. I thought Kori meant that the 70degrees on the Markells is the same as the 60degrees on the P/M brace. That's what I understood but I could be wrong, and BL CF 12/16/03 > > >Darby, > > >There is something about the shoes and the way they are made that > negates > > >10 degrees or some such. Guest guest
It's funny - I swear if there is any problems that could possibly happen, they would happen to me! But luckily no, I'm not having that problem with the tongue... sometimes I have to pull it a little after I buckle them to flatten it out, but it hasn't been too bad. And these are much easier and quicker for me to get on than the old shoes- Probably because she doesn't slip out of them so I don't have to keep starting over again! Guest guest
's are set to 60 too, but before he got his shoes, I had read other peoples entries about the shoes being set to 60, so I was expecting it. It has something to do with the design of the shoe, and the way it holds the foot, but I'm not sure. I've just blindly gone along with the 60 degrees, not questioning it. If you find out differently, please let me know!! and 6/24/04 bcf s 16/7 michelle wrote: Are they all set at 60degrees?
