Hi Sharon,

Although I never had any signs of gall bladder problems, I was told a few years ago that mine had a few stones. I also heard that quite often obese people will often have stones. My doctor also routinely removes the gall bladder now.

I didn't have any nausea after.

Hi - I am to be switched on 8/23 and my surgeonis taking my gall bladder too. It has not beenchecked for disease or stones but she feels this isbest for all WLS patients because going back in toremove it is more trouble than it's worth. Based onwhat you wrote, should I ask about leaving my gall bladder in ? WillI excrete an excess of bile and have excessive nauseaor worse ? I know you aren't a doctor and I will askthe pros, but if anyone can shed some light on thedifferences in keeping or removing the gall bladder Iwould greatly appreciate it. Thank you.Sharon in NY
