Guest guest
Lol, you are making me hungry. I had a protein shake for breakfast. I wanted to make sure it was drinkable and it was! IMHO, Isopure is much better than ProBlend55. I'm trying to take off a few pounds before surgery. I don't know why, just am. I gained 11lbs since May 24th. That is when I gave up cigarettes. I think that's GREAT! It always helps to get some weight off beforehand. I focused more on protein (trying various shakes and bars pre-surgically, too) in the two months from my consult to my surgery date and lost 7 lbs! That was a pleasant surprise when I weighed in a week before the surgery. My surgeon never said I medically should lose weight before the surgery (I think with certain pre-ops they are advised to do this based on starting bmi and/or co-morbidities). I just wanted to try to get a 'head start' on things. I think it really helped to focus more on protein - I found out that I really enjoyed eating protein and could also find some decent shakes/bars for post-op life. I know that one's tastes can change after the operation but it's nice to have stuff on hand that you've TRIED and actually could stomach! My nutritionist gave me the best pre-op advice on how to prepare for surgery: Stay WELL HYDRATED (I drank so much water I felt like I was going to spring a leak all the time LOL) and LOAD UP ON PROTEIN because it is used in the healing process. I had a wonderful recovery and I'm sure at least part of that was due to following the two above tenants. all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt. Sinai/NYC six months post-op and still feelin' fabu! pre-op: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: up to 230 again! AGH!

As far as water goes, I do drink alot but mostly at night. On your signature line, it was back up to 230 again. What is going on with that? How much did you gain?
