Guest guest
Hi Tracie, I have been meaning to write to you. I am sorry to hear you are not doing to well. I hope you get better soon. I do want to thank you for all the information that you have supplied to me. The group: I seem to be experiencing a flare up again. The sinusitis and just tired all of the time. I had been prescription meds for about three months but with this extreme weather I seem to be have problems with my sinuses and the medicine I have been taking is probably what is causing my fatigue. I get one symptom cleared up and something else pops up. But that is ok. I am learning how to manage it even though I don't feel that great. I am staying out to the heat and sun. My heart seems to be raising when I come out of it and I feel awful so I am limited the sun and heat as much as possible. Ready for the edge of your seat? Check out tonight's top picks on Yahoo! TV. Guest guest
Shauna, what medication have you been on for the past 3 months? Are you drinking plenty of water (at least 8 oz. an hour)? With this weather, it is easier to get dehydrated, which thickens the mucus in your sinuses, among other things. Be sure to avoid drinks that dehydrate you, such as caffeinated coffee & tea. Time to give up that beer! Ramblin' Rose Moderator A merry heart is good medicine. Guest guest
Rose, It's funny that this hydrating subject has come up again. My mom has, in the past, told me that her doc said to drink more fluids. She told me that she drinks coffee throughout the day and I told her that coffee DEhydrates you. That anything with caffeine will dehydrate you. I told her to be drinking fluids that hydrate. This last week she got very very dizzy and my sister-in-law took her to the clinic and the doc said...she was dehydrated! I also had to inform her that unless the tea said it was decaffeineated that it would also be dehydrating. She bought some of that new Crystal Lite that has extra hydrating stuff in it. Hopefully she'll learn and try to cut the coffee but she's been drinking it for years and I bet it's a habit hard to break. hugs S.Rose wrote: Shauna, what medication have you been on for the past 3 months?
