i have uhc select plus pos - i live in mississippi and

i have been approved - i'm paying 30% of costs though

because neither the doctor nor the hospital or in my

network!! there were e-mails from soozyl@...

who was denied by uhc in florida.

- I saw that rumor too! I have my consult with

Rabkin in SF on Monday 7/30. Also the Psych Eval and

the Pulmonary the same day. I spoke to United

Healthcare and so far so good. The surgeon and

Pulmonary doc are " out of the area " (30 miles radius)

but with a referral from my PC doc they have at least

approved the consult. When I call UNC they won't

commit. They say I need a letter from the surgeon and

then it goes to a committee for approval. I have my

medical history written up and a small binder of info

that I have gathered via the internet. I am HOPING

for the best! I will be soooo upset if I am denied. -
