Guest guest
, I'm sorry you fell. Do you get up slowly & sit on the side of the bed or couch for a minute before you stand? That might prevent this kind of fainting. If you are fainting a lot, you need to tell one of your docs. It could be one of your meds, or combination of meds, anemia, other causes. Re: the mouth dryness, I use an oral gel, either by Biotene or Oragel. I just squirt a little in my mouth & let it coat my mouth & the back of my throat. It doesn't really have a taste. It really helps, especially for sleep or times when I can't drink water for awhile. There is also Biotene mouthwash & toothpaste. I'm on a special prescription-strength toothpaste to try to prevent more cavities (4 on my last checkup), but I have used the Biotene mouthwash. For me, just having the gel handy seems to work well. I use Ayr or something like that and then I just put saline down my nose to get to my dried out voice box. I went to get out of bed the other night and I went flat on my face in the carpet. my arms were under me so I must have fainted. I skinned my nose since I was in motion . I didn’t get direct impact skiffed. Called my Dr yesterday and he never called back. I came out very lucky but it scared the pazizzle out of me. M Can you find the hidden words? M, Sounds like that old "postural" hypotension. You know, sometimes when we try to jump up out of bed to quickly, and our body is relaxed from sleeping-- our blood pressure drops quite low-- and that old blood supply just doesn't get to the head, and down we go. If this happens again, get into the MD. Have you changed the medications that you take at night. Sometimes you can get a combination going that increases the hypotension. Take care- and I am so glad you only got a skinned nose. TracieSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.

Guest guest
I didn’t get direct impact skiffed. Okay, , is this a typo or is "skiffed" another one of those funny words we've been talked about?!? Ramblin' Rose Moderator A merry heart is good medicine.
