Guest guest
what kind of sores? Are his toes clean when you put the shoes on or is there toe jam in there? I only ask because this is new... Also, there's the possibility of athlete's foot affecting him. Which is why I ask what kind of sores they are. You may want to try wiping his feet with witch hazel, and dusting his feet with athlete's foot powder or cream (only use between the toes, not on the foot itself especially if he's slipping) Red is usually ok, as long as it doesn't get redder or it gets less red when the shoes are off. Do you have any pictures of his feet? That might help us figure out what's going on. We have a picture list that we use to send pics to the members here via email attachments. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFPics/ Remember to check the email addy you subscribe under, there's a file with a survey that needs to be filled out before your membership is approved. Send that back and we'll get you subbed there as soon as one of the moderators sees it. Guest guest
they just appeared not too long ago. but they are just red and round . they almost look like an open blister, but i never saw a blister in the first place. his feet are clean and dry when we put the brace on. i know this because we try to wash them or wipe them down everytime we take the brace off to do his exercises becuase it causes his feet to sweat and stink. i just talked to our nurse in st.louis and we are going to see his doc.-Dr.Dobbs on monday so hopefully they can get him straightened out and out of pain. thank you very much for you help, and i will try to get some pictures out. > >my 4 month old has sores between his toes since he's had his brace for > >a few weeks. any suggestions on how to prevent these? also, his foot is > >really red too. > >thank you > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
