This is what I am hoping is true - that there is some mechanism in the surgery itself, whether by malabsorbtion or something else, that prevents the re-occurance of diabetes. I may be obsessing about this, but at least I'm not obsessively blood testing anymore! I need to calm down and realize each day what a gift the surgery has given me!
