Has anyone seen Dr Husted yet who has Prudential Insurance? He is out

of my network, and i'm wondering how do i get around this when i call

my pcp for a referral? I have already been approved for surgery, but

my consult was initially with Dr Dyer for RNY. The consult is

scheduled for Sept. 4th,but now i want to see Dr Husted, since he's

been added to the list of surgeons in nashville doing the DS.

Connie, dear, sweet Connie... Do I have to come down there? <grin>

What did you say she looks like? 90 lbs and a mustache? I think you

and I can take her! I will hold her and you can threaten to wax her

upper lip until she signs the referral! LOL (Anyone who has ever had

their lip waxed is cringing right now. It REALLY hurts!) Or I could

bring the boys down and Liam can bite her and Tuey will kick her! LOL

(Oh, the terrible twos...what a joy!) Seriously, though, you

shouldn't be afraid of her. This is your body and your decision.

You don't even have to explain it to her. Just tell her you want to

see Dr. Husted instead. You are the one who has to live with this,

not her. Don't settle for the RNY, it isn't what you want. Believe

me, the incovenience of switching and the possible wait is worth it

in the end. Another thing, after the way your PCP treated you, you

really should switch. I hate when doctors won't touch you or make

eye contact. You deserve better. I will call ya later!

Speaking of waxing, I am thinking of getting laser hair removal. I

usually wax my face and chin but it is so annoying and I can't take

the pain. My doctor told me the reason for the hair is

hormones/weight, etc. So, if I lose weight it will go away? I doubt

it. Just another thing to blame on the weight.

Hugs,

Hunter
