Guest guest
Christee, So sorry you are having issues but Kori is one of the best to help. Glad she met up with you! Have you considered the PM's instead? They really were created to help atypical feet and are a godsend to us. Additionally perhaps you need to find a way to get to Dr. P or one of the other certified folks who have some experience with atypical feet to see if they can recast her feet until they are fully corrected. We did it and have NEVER regretted it. Chris Markell/DBB problem! Ok, its official, I hate the Markells! I have seen semi sucessful on keeping them on her feet, BUT I can not keep her heel all the ways down! I even cut a hole in the back to see how it looked! I have them @ 45degrees on the mormal foot, and 35degrees on the CF. I know, that sounds funny, but the Dr. didnt correctly abduct it, so it wont go to 70degrees. So Dr. Ponseti said to set it between 35 & 40degrees to keep what correction she has. She has A-Typical CF. ANY SUGGESTIONS HERE? The only way Ive found to keep her heel down is to sinch that strap down TIGHT, and it cuts the circulation off and turms her foot purple! Yes, when Kori did it too! So that isnt an option. Any othe rsuggestions? Maybe put padding on the top of her foot to push it down or something? HELP PLEASE........ __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Great suggestion. We are going from the Markells to s. We had the same problem with the Markells/DBB. Come to find out though, the reason could not keep them on was b/c he was not fully corrected. This is per Dr. Ponseti. We drove over 11hrs to come to him and now my son has lost correction b/c our pohysician at home basically has allowed this happen after telling me he would get use to the shoes in time. You might need a second opinion of maybe email Dr. Ponseti asking his opinion. I did that and Dr. Ponseti called me and now I am here in Iowa. Just a thought! Guest guest
Christee-Maybe try taking the tongue out. I've always taken it out of my daughter's Markells. I can get the strap tight enough to keep her foot in without making it *too* tight, IYKWIM. > Ok, its official, I hate the Markells!
