Guest guest
Hello all I think this question has been asked before but my daughter was not walking at the time so here goes: to those of you who have the P/M brace and have children that are walking, if you do not have carpet on your floors what have you tried putting on the brace to keep your child from slipping? has been walking for almost 2 months now but we have hardwood/tile floors and she has taken a couple of steps with her brace on but she has slipped and i try not to encourage too much walking in her brace as I am afraid she will hurt herself especially with my tile floor. She gets frustrated b/c now that she is walking that is all she wants to do all day. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance, and BL CF 12/16/03 P/M 14-16hrs

Guest guest
Our orthotics dept here in town put foam on the bottom of the toes, even though we didn't get the shoes from here, it helped even out the feet when standing and helped with the slipping. They were very willing to work with us. We have hardwood too and it is a pain! s 16 hrs. > Hello all I think this question has been asked before but my daughter > was not walking at the time so here goes: to those of you who have the > P/M brace and have children that are walking, if you do not have > carpet on your floors what have you tried putting on the brace to keep > your child from slipping? has been walking for almost 2 > months now but we have hardwood/tile floors and she has taken a couple > of steps with her brace on but she has slipped and i try not to > encourage too much walking in her brace as I am afraid she will hurt > herself especially with my tile floor. Guest guest
hey Kori, I have a picture of 's shoes with the rubber stuff on them, not only did it help grip but it also helped with the toe pointing. But I can't figure out how to post pictures, can I email them to you personally and you post them for me? > >Hello all I think this question has been asked before but my daughter > >was not walking at the time so here goes: to those of you who have the > >P/M brace and have children that are walking, if you do not have > >carpet on your floors what have you tried putting on the brace to keep > >your child from slipping? has been walking for almost 2 > >months now but we have hardwood/tile floors and she has taken a couple > >of steps with her brace on but she has slipped and i try not to > >encourage too much walking in her brace as I am afraid she will hurt > >herself especially with my tile floor. Guest guest
I'm wondering if this is something I could do since we have no orthics dept. here in my small town. She only has one brace so I have to have it done the same day. Any suggestions? I will have to go to the store and do some investigating. There is a shoe repair shop maybe they have ideas. I would love to see 's pictures as well maybe that would give us a better idea of what to do or look for. Thanks, MIchelle and BL CF 12/16/03 > >Hello all I think this question has been asked before but my daughter > >was not walking at the time so here goes: to those of you who have the > >P/M brace and have children that are walking, if you do not have > >carpet on your floors what have you tried putting on the brace to keep > >your child from slipping? has been walking for almost 2 > >months now but we have hardwood/tile floors and she has taken a couple > >of steps with her brace on but she has slipped and i try not to > >encourage too much walking in her brace as I am afraid she will hurt > >herself especially with my tile floor.
