Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I got to within 5 lbs of my goal to get surgery. I was told in my visit with Dr. Dutta that if I got to that point I could call and get scheduled. The caveat being that they would schedule the appointment so I could lose the last five pounds while waiting. I called on Monday and still haven't heard. After reading the posts I was wondering is there a full schedule at Fremont Kaiser so they wouldn't schedule me like until May - July? I will call again on Friday, as maybe they haven't gotten my message yet. I called the line where you give your stats to let them know where you are. My hubby and I are going on vacation the last week of August and 1st week of July. I was kind of hoping to have had the surgery and already recovered. I guess I will just wait and see. Little note for Ron. I struggled trying to get to the point I am now. It has been very hard. The advice to at least walk or exercise (haha not that walking isn't exercise) for 30 min a day really will help. I am making myself do that and a little more. I have to say it does make me feel better, ugh exercise, but if I go right after work I manage to get it done and don't become a couch potato. I suspect it will be a struggle even to maintain while I am waiting for appointment to keep goal weight when I get there. I think it will be worth the struggle. take care everyone, Judith

Guest guest
Congrats Judith and great advice. I wish you well and I hope you will receive a call with a date. Be encouraged because everything we have to go through to get to the " other side " is so well worth it. Pam Marsh --- " Judith D.
