Helping people on THIS board.........why don't we????

I have been having alot of thoughts lately about this and am a bit

puzzled. Why isn't there anything here to help people that we have

come to know over the years?? I know a few....I mean VERY FEW

offers of shoes, bars etc........but what about other stuff??? I

know alot of us donate directly to Dr Ponseti or write essays and

letters.....that is all AWESOME!! But why can't we all pitch in to

help our " friends " on this board when they need help?? There are so

many of us here. There are so many that need things that they

cannot afford. I am NOT rich in any way shape or form.........in

fact my kids probably qualify for free lunches at school.......yet

if I knew it meant helping someone I would pay what I could to

help. Its just money versus a child suffering.

Here is what I think should be done to help out.

Why can't we set up something and take " donations " $5.00 from each

member that wanted to give........could be set up to help a family

on this site in need of new shoes that insurance won't pay for. Or

to help get a child to Iowa. We are all quick to advise families

to " go to Iowa " . What if people that don't use their free airmiles

could all donate them to someone here in need??

Please lets talk about setting up something on this site to help

ourselves. I know it would be a pain, hassle, extra effort but I

think it would be well worth it in the end.

Hopefully no one takes offense to this message, its just an idea.
