Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am now almost seven weeks post op and in many ways I am feeling much more like my normal self. My energy is coming back; I don't have much trouble eating and my bathroom habits are becoming more predictable. However, at about 4 weeks, I noticed that I was having more and more soreness on my left side about half way down the incision. It wasn't real painful, just irritating and it seemed to get more and more frequent. I notice it most when I bend, twist, roll over in bed, etc. I called Dr. Hess and asked him if I should be concerned and he didn't seem too worried about it. Then, at about six weeks, I started having some much sharper pains right at the top of my insicion and a little bit to the left. They too happen when I move wrong, bend over, get out of bed, etc. When I sneeze, it produces terrible pain that lasts for 30 to 60 seconds. Of course I had plenty of aches and pains for a few weeks after surgery but when they went away, I assumed they would stay away and now that I am having pain daily at almost seven weeks out, I am concerned. Has anybody else had a similar experience? If so, did the pains go away and when? Thanks for your input.
