Guest guest
Marla, I got the pneumonia shot 5 years ago, shortly after I started on Pred & Imuran. I didn't have any problems with it then. I've read that people with chronic illnesses, lung problems, etc., should have it repeated after 5 years. Has anyone had a repeat vaccine; if so, any problems? Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. I know my first sarcoidosis attack was in 1980 and basically in remission since then with flare ups of erythema nodosum when under major stress at work. I always refused the flu shot as I was afraid with my immune system. Last year I was in a weak moment and I let them give me the flu shot and I came out of remission and ended up with neurosarcoidosis. My first attack was in my left lung and lymph nodes. So I know on the FSR site some say they have heard others getting Gullian Bairre and wondering if anyone else else has gotten the flu shot and had their symptoms get worse.ThanksKat Climb to the top of the charts! Guest guest
My dr. has given me the pneumonia shot every 5 yrs. too. I haven't had any problem with it. I remember getting pneumonia quite a few times and landing up in the hospital before I starting getting the shot.
