I worried about that, as some folks have horrible bathroom tales, but so far so good. Hope that doesnt change. My energy is low, my angel Teri warned me about that. It is improving, and today I went to the mall with DH. From what I understand, the energy thing begins to improve at about 6 weeks. I'm looking foward to that, I feel like such a toad and have so much I'd like to get done while I'mm off work.I've had very little pain to speak of. The Percocet gave me horrible dreams, so I quit taking it at 2 weeks. I am able to sleep flat, and can even roll onto my stomach.I have a huge incision. Its funny, because when I first saw it I was sitting in bed looking down at it. It seemed pretty small, and I thought wow, thats not so bad. Then, I saw myself standing up looking in the mirror. It took my breath. Its from sternum through my belly button (he had to fix an umbilical hernia) and on a big ol belly, thats several inches. So there goes my bikini modeling career...oh well.I'd like top share my story of my surgery, and will in small incriments for anyone who's interested. I'm having trouble getting ambitious enough to post it all at once, but I'll work on it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Meli,

That's wonderful and I'm sure in a few weeks your energy will be back

and you can hike around Colorado if you want! *grins* You may want

to try Isopure Zero Carb Protein drinks as those come in tropical

punch and grape so you don't get that heavy feeling from the milky

type protein drinks.. Isopure Zero Carb is made with Splenda..you can

also try the wildberry flavor from www.lindora.com, which is supposed

to be great, but there is only 7 packets in a box and it's $10 a box.

I guess that's not a bad price though.

Hi Meli,

So glad to see you posting from this side of the switch. 30# is a lot!

My energy was very low also early on. It was a good 2 months before I felt

able to work a full day. The amazing thing is that my energy has continued

to increase over the past several months.

I loathe protein drinks and avoided them after the first near urp. Stuck to

real food. Was a challenge to get the protein in, but far more pleasant

than the drinks, I've read about other less noxious ones since then, but to

date have not tried them.

I have a huge incision also but it is horizontal.. well sort of. LOL

Thanks for the update. Glad to see you here.
