Guest guest
I'm 4 weeks out today and have lost 30lbs. I feel lucky, as I've had few problems other than a healthy case of the blues. (anesthesia always does that to me). I am eating well, pretty much whatever I wish, just small ammounts. The only thing that really bothers me is the protein drinks. They feel heavy, and have made me vomit. I worry some, as I so need the protein, but am trying extra hard to get it from food sources. I'm not lactose intolerant, and am very happy about that. I have one BM a day, and its soft but not diarrhea. No terrible smells, in fact even less offensive at times than pre-op. I worried about that, as some folks have horrible bathroom tales, but so far so good. Hope that doesnt change. My energy is low, my angel Teri warned me about that. It is improving, and today I went to the mall with DH. From what I understand, the energy thing begins to improve at about 6 weeks. I'm looking foward to that, I feel like such a toad and have so much I'd like to get done while I'mm off work. I've had very little pain to speak of. The Percocet gave me horrible dreams, so I quit taking it at 2 weeks. I am able to sleep flat, and can even roll onto my stomach. I have a huge incision. Its funny, because when I first saw it I was sitting in bed looking down at it. It seemed pretty small, and I thought wow, thats not so bad. Then, I saw myself standing up looking in the mirror. It took my breath. Its from sternum through my belly button (he had to fix an umbilical hernia) and on a big ol belly, thats several inches. So there goes my bikini modeling career...oh well. I'd like top share my story of my surgery, and will in small incriments for anyone who's interested. I'm having trouble getting ambitious enough to post it all at once, but I'll work on it.
