Guest guest
Aaahh! My little 3 and 1/2 month old Brooklyn got the DBB two days ago and sleeping has been a nightmare! Ive tried everything from the tips and tricks file. we take turns sleeping with her and she wakes every ten minutes crying until finally around 4 am for our sanity we take it off. Then she is all smiles and sleeps great. What do we do????? She is fine in the day. Ive given her tylenol but I dont want that to be habit:) I dont want to keep taking it off, when does it get easier? Thanks guys, Sheilah

Guest guest
Sheila- How does she sleep during the day? Is she in a swing or in a bouncer or does she sleep fine during the day in her crib? For our son, it took a couple of days to get used to the shoes-it was easier for him to sleep in his car seat(infant carrier) has it slightly elevated his feet and took the weight off. After a couple of days he got used to it. Double check her feet too to make sure they are not having any red spots or blisters forming. More than anything, she is probably just frustrated with the fact that her feet can no longer move independently-make sure you play with her and show her how much fun it is to bring them up and down- loved teething on his shoes and bar! Hang in there-it does get easier-just be dilligent about the 23 hours! Kathleen mom to 8/28/04 bcf fab 14/7 > Aaahh! Guest guest
I don't know... My son hasn't gotten to the DBB yet... but from everything I have heard I don't think its a good idea to keep taking it off though. sheilahp1975 wrote:Aaahh! Guest guest
He Sheilah, Love the name Brooklyn! It is still very new to her. Make sure that they are on very tight. She will find a comfortable sleeping position shortly. If she is not rolling on her side yet, I used to put a blanket under Zoe's legs to prop them up a bit. It just seemed to me that would be more comfy on the lower back, etc. Try not to take it off in the middle of the night. She will soon learn that crying gets the bar off. We had some sleepness nights as well, but it does get better. Louisa Rachael 6-27-99 Zoe 2-22-04 RCF FAB nights > Aaahh! Guest guest
Tylenol isn't really habit-forming. :-) If you need to give it to her for a few days to get over the hump, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you're sure everything's corrected properly and it's just frustration/slight discomfort causing the crying. > > Aaahh!
