Guest guest
I got pregnant the next month after stopping but I miscarried. I think my hormones were not ready yet. I got pregnant again 4 months after the miscarraige and just had my baby boy 4 days ago. good Luck to you. I was not a very fertile person either so to get pregnant 2 times so fast is weird for me. Guest guest
Hello Sab! That is so exciting for you guys, my lips are sealed! Getting pregnant was a shock for us as it wasn't planned but I had gone off the birth control pill because I thought it might help me lose that last 10 pounds I had been struggling to get off for some time. I didn't tell anyone that I stopped taking the pill-- I wasn't married at the time and I didn't need lectures from people so I just never really said that wasn't the case when they would say something. My friends think I got pregnant due to mal-absorption of the pill due to the surgery-- I didn't feel the need to explain to people when they asked that it was due to lack of control on our part... that we weren't using protection at the time!! I stopped taking the pill mid-August/beginning of September and my last period was 11/15/03-- that was the date they used to calculate my due date. Because I stopped the pill and didn't know how my cycle would be, I tracked my period so I knew when to expect it. There was only ONE time during that period where I stopped the pill where we didn't use a condom and guess what happened...haha I am having a baby boy in 3 weeks!! This was just my experience but I had been on the pill since my son was born almost 10 years ago-- I honestly didn't think that one time without protection would result in a pregnancy considering I had been on the pill for so long but I was wrong. & I are so happy about the baby and Jake is thrilled as well; I am glad that it happened the way it did!! Good luck to you guys, how exciting! Have a good night, Ivy Nielsen--3 weeks and counting for me to d-day!! DOS 11/7/00 EDD 8/22/04-- it's another boy! Big brother Jake will be 10 yrs old 9/25/04! Newbie to the group Hi all. I'm new here and have a quick question but I'll give you a quick intro first. My DOS was 4/25/03 so I'm 15 months out. I'm done losing weight (I've been at this weight for 4+ months). I'm past my personal weight loss goal of -100 pounds, I'm at -110. My husband and I have decided to try and have a baby. (FYI - My husband is also a WLS patient who is 14 months out.) I have a daughter who is almost 11 from a previous marriage. I'm 29. Anyway, my question is this: for those of you who have become pregant - how long after stopping birth control pills did it take you to become pregnant? I'm just currious Sab (PS - Ivy...sssshhhhh!!!! I promised Jon I wouldn't tell anyone we were " trying " so he didn't feel pressured if it didn't work out LOL - so you don't know!) Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:

When I didn't conceive in November OR December, I bought an ovulation prediction kit and it worked like a charm! So, 3 months for me! Congratulations on your weight loss and good luck & have fun baby making! Guest guest
Hey all. I am glad i found this group. I am a 41y/o cauc female..non- smoker. 2 years ago, after going through a year of extensive testing and a diagnosis of lyphoma with mets to my bones, lungs, thyroid, and spleen....I was finally diagnosed correctly with Sarcoidosis. It is not too bad, although I wheeze and get short of breath easily..I have about 20 masses in my lungs, mostly around my mediastinam. I have had serious trouble with light for about 20 years. My eye doctor just poo-poo's it off. I have also been have more frequent urinary/kidney type symptoms...I will get horrid pain in my back for about 6 hours, nausea, and firey burning when i try to urinate. I was amazed to read some of the posts about kidney stones ect. Anyways, I feel I am realatively healthy, I do work 2 jobs and I am a single mother of a 16 and 5 year old. I would love to take any suggestions on how to avoid becoming increasingly sick. Terri
