Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am writing ya'll from Germany. It has been snowing here this week but last week it was sunny and beautiful. My son and I ran a mile. I was jogging around the course and he was saying to me, "Come on Mom. Come on." I was losing momentum but then my 2nd wind kicked in and I just kicked out my leg and ran it in. My son was so excited for me. He is all of 14 and is a Mama's boy all the way. He was like, "Yeah, Baby." He made me feel like I won the lottery. I had forgotten what it was like to run. I used to be a runner back in the day (before my kids). I was a cross-country runner. When I ran the mile, I felt like "This was it". I was on my way to cross-country running again. There would be nothing more that I would want than to run again. I didn't run fast...possibly it took me 15 minutes at a shuffle pace. But it was the most liberating feeling. I used to run 5-7 minute miles. I felt that "Rush" feeling. That thrill of a lifetime. I can't explain it except that I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can run again. My excitement was twice the high when my son was so excited for me. He was telling his friends, "Me and my mom went running together." Also, one of his friends asked Corey (my son), "Dude, has your mom lost weight?" And Corey replied, "Dude, stop looking at my mom." That was so funny when he told me. My life is so much free'er now. Just wanted to share my lottery. Sincerely, Yahoo! Mail Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments.
