Guest guest
Sharon, I have no idea what a sweat test is-- I've never heard of it before. What exactly do they do? Guest guest
This tests checks electroyles-- to see if they are in balance. It can be used to check for hyperactive thyroid, infections that may be in the sweat glands as well as lymphoma. I suspect your MD is checking for thyroid issues-- and to make sure that you have sarcoidosis and not lymphoma. Chest xrays can fool them-- sarc and lymphoma can look very similar. I know that when I was first starting testing, the pulmonologist did decide to do a bronchoscopy to make sure that what he was seeing on my chest xrays was sarcoidosis. Since it was- and is biopsy proven-- it's no longer an issue inless I would start showing signs of lymphatic problems. Hope this helps, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderatorSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter.
