This is for what happened to me. When my last major event of sarcoid flared up last fall those were the symptoms I had with my eyes. It maybe you were allergic to something in that area with different parts having other things we are allergic with our immune systems being so sensitive.

I'm sorry that your eyes are giving you fits. It sounds like you have a bit of conjuctivitis going on. The inside of the eyelids get really red, the white of the eye gets red and very dry and itchy.

Although not a major problem-- it is very contagious-- and easy to pick up from little kids, etc.

Since the drops aren't doing anything-- you may want to call a local Ophthalmologist, explain that you are travelling and have this problem. Let him know you have a history of severe iritis due to sarcoidosis. The "on-call" will come in and see what it going on. It may be that you need a different kind of eye drop --- I don't recall using predforte for conjunctivitis.

Do call-- and hopefully you can continue on with your vacation. Where are you here in California?
