Guest guest
Hi.. My name is Dahleen and I live in northern Nevada, near Reno. My brother Wayne has neurosarcoidosis and by what I have researched so far, seems to have a rare extreme case. He lives in California and our older brother Bob , former director of Marin County for Independent Living was his care taker. Bob was instrumental in getting the care my brother needed. My brother died last October due to an accident. So far my brother Wayne has been doing ok, due mainly to his attendent there, but we all know with his health, he will not be able to live alone in California alone for long and I am looking to move him to Nevada. He is in a wheelchair his legs are strapped together due to the uncontrollable movements, He drifts off to sleep in the middle of conversations or eating, his motor skills are weakening and speech slowing and Along with this, he also has: sleep apnia,Osteoparosis side affects... a seizure disorder....water retention..bladder...condom catherder. He had a seizure just this past weekend. This is all I know about his condiditon, as my older brother was his care taker. I am looking at bringing Wayne here to Nevada, but I am still uncertain about what I need to know and find out about his care. I am hoping this support group will give me a little more insight to this. Thank you for your support... Dahleen
