Milk Thistle, Why I love this group

Hey All,Haven't responded to any emails in forever, but I always read them, and I pray for you guys all the time. Anyway, the information about milk thistle is so helpful to me. Thank you. I'm just starting my second round of antibiotics for a stubborn UTI that won't go away and am constantly worried about the effects all these medications are having on my liver and kidneys. I love this group because its a free-flowing arena for all of us to vent, cry, laugh, and share useful information. I appreciate everyone's willingness to be open about their trials with sarc, because when one shares we all benefit. Thank you to the moderators and owners as well. We lean on you so much and you go over and above to give your support.Naa Koshie O.

Boy I am going and getting this because I have sarc monster in my liver as well and every other month my liver function is going nuts. due to the imuran and plaquinel, and all the pain meds I am on.

Naa Koshie, it's good to see you post, and yeah, we haven't heard from you in quite awhile. One thing you may want to add is Cranberry capsules-- they help tremendously with UTI's. I've always been told to drink plenty of cranberry juice when I ended up with a UTI-- but since that can raise your blood sugars very fast-- the capsules have proven to work well. You can even do a cranberry tea made from the dried root (1-2 tsp in 1 cup hot water steep for 10-15 min) or do 30 to 60 drops of cranberry tincture. Good news--it contains potassium, so your electrolytes don't end up depleted.

You can also use it daily to help prevent future infections!
