Guest guest
Gaby had her g-tube paced endoscopically (she had a fundoplication the following year when she was stronger) Her first tube was replced by the Dr, but subsequent tubes are replaced under GA endoscopically. We don't use balloon buttons though, as Gaby commando crawls and pulls them out. We use a Bard, and as you have to push fairly hard to get them in, we feel it is safer under GA where the Dr can 'see' what is happening. The Dr also checks her stomach lining and the fundo site . Gaby only has tube changes every 2 years, so it hasn't been a big hassle. ne, mum to Gaby, PDH, G Tube, keto diet, wheelchair dependant, CP,dislocated hips, and loves to sing!
