Guest guest
I'monly 8 days out, and I can't stand the way things smell. Seems like I'm hyper sensitive and everything smells horrible. I try to get over it, but sometimes it makes me ill. I think I've got amazing will power, because I've been cooking for my fiancee and I've also had to go to the grocery store where the free cookie sample lady was around every turn!! Not to mention the hunny has eaten out a few times and I've had to see the results of what take out. I was even in the taco bell drive thru with him, no worries. I have no desire to eat anything not on my phase 2. I hope the smell thing passes in a way, but then again if it doesn't it will only help me stay on track not to eat anything, because it won't smell apetizing. Other then that I'm coming along great! take care and patti you'll be okay. just try to kick into that will power to overcome that you really don't want that food afterall. Or say to yourself that if you ate it right nowit will hurt your tummy. LISA

Guest guest
Hi Patti and , I recall a few weeks ago I had the same problem. Some things smelled so good I worried that I would want to eat them but then, things began to smell too strong. Today, 7 weeks out, I don't care much. All food is boring. I am not really hungry. Afraid I will get too full. Food is mostly boring but I have found some stuff that is unusual and good. I go to a Korean restaurant and order a tofu and chicken soup. I spoon out the delicious tofu and a few tiny pieces of the chicken. I don't eat the rice or the cabbage, the broth or any vegs. The last time I ate this, I chewed on a few cucumbers pickeled and they went down OK. What a treat they were. The tofu is silken and goes down without a problem and I can eat quite a bit. It is very high in protein and low in calories so I feel OK. It seems as if food that is unique has taken on a delicious flavor and I can be completely mindful. If I eat the tofu very slowly, I can drag out the dinner or lunch as long as the others who are eating with me. I take ohome the left overs and buy some silken tofu for home.So far, that is the only restaurant I can eat in. The rest scare me. I also ate some high fat cheese the other day. I nearly swooned with the flavor but after two bites, I was completely satisfied for hours. Don't worry, We are all different but we can handle this. I am still losing over 4 lbs a week. Guest guest
Each day is getting better. Hey - how about we trade noses just for one day? LOL What's funny is since Novemeber, I have been eating primarilly chicken, fish and tofu. I did really well on the 1200 cal diet. Now, I am craving crap food... pizza, hamburgers, etc. It's starnge because I never really thought of myself as a person that had a huge relationship with food. Boy! Was I kidding myself!!!! How the heck did I become so fat then? LOL Anyway, I have made the 7 day milestone. I have no regrets, but I think I may be touching a bit of the buyer's remorse. I went to the gym today and did 30 minutes of cardio. It's starnge to see calories out are way more than calories in I look forward to watching myself melt away and am staying committed to doing exactly what the surgeon says. This little pouch of mine will be my friend for years.... I guess it's time to give it a name! HEHEHE Patti > > I'monly 8 days out, and I can't stand the way things smell.
