Guest guest
Hi Debbie, We are here for you. Sorry about your diagnosis. My son has mito and I have feared what I would do if I have it too. What kinds of questions do you have? Have you checked out the United Mitochondrial Disease website (www.umdf.org)? It is very helpful. You can call them too for help finding a good doctor. There is an adult mito group listed on their website as well, I think. Maybe that would be helpful too. God bless, Donna mom to Craig (8 years old with unspecified mito) and Dalton (6 years old with possible mito, but doing well) Looking for someone to talk to Hi im Debbie Wigger and i was just wondering if there was someone i can talk to about mito....because i have the desease and i was looking for someone to talk to because i have unaswered questions...and i was hoping you could help!?!?!?!?!Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions. Guest guest
You might want to check out the adult Mito groups as they are great for information and support to adults dealing with Mito. You are welcome to ask us questions as well, but you might feel more comfortable in the adult groups. Just go to yahoogroups.com to find the mitooldies group as well as another one that I can't remember the name of. See www.caringbridge.org/ia/mitomomof9 and www.heartbeatsformito.org to see a photo look into what Mito looks like Darla: mommy to Asenath (4) Mito, CNS Vasculitis, strokes, migraines, seizures, G-tube, hypotonicity, disautonomy, SID, global delays, asthma, cyclic vomiting, bladder issues, wheelchair for distances, eye issues, autistic behaviors, gastric emptying issues...
