Guest guest
Hi I am in need of some help. I am been on vacation in Calif for several weeks and have been having a terrible flare up with my eyes. My right eye has been swollen and red. My eye doctor back in ville called in some predinose for me and it helped a bit but now it is getting worse. If not better by tomorrow I will change my reservation and head back home. I have tried everything I can think of ....I have bacatracian and FML...eye scrubs...soaks and even ice packs. I am on steroid drops and the azopt. Does anyone have any idea on anything else I can try. My doctor thinks it is just a bad flare of the sarcoid...but I think it has something to do with the bleferitis in my eye. PLEASE FORGIVE my spelling ...I am having trouble with my vision so can't see much of what I am typing. Thank You Thank You Ruth olehomepl@... Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. Guest guest
I am in Exeter..south of Fresno I think. Ok, well I am about 5 hrs north of Fresno--- so I was hoping you were closer. I don't do long drives-- at least not as the driver. I like to sleep too much--- and that's not good if you aren't the passenger. If I remember right, you are outside of Yosemite. Or at least that area. As far as the blepharitis (swelling of the eyelids)-- are you doing the washes with 's baby shampoo. You take a Qtip, and dip it in the shampoo, and use it both externally and inside the eyelids themself. Make sure to get along the eyelashes-- if you get some allergen on the eyelashes-- it can really make the inflammation worse. Since 's is no tears-- it doesn't iritate your eyes or skin. One other thought-- this could be shingles-- so you may want to check in at a Convenient care and make sure that it isn't-- or if it is-- get on Zostrix or something like that. You can save yourself a lot of pain if you do. Take care, and safe journey, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderatorSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. Guest guest
Yhanks Traci for your imput. It is not the inside of my eye that is swollen and red..it is all in the outside lid. It started two weeks ago with the lower and now it is in the upper lid. I've talked to my dr in Indiana about pink eye and he didn't think it was it with only external swelling. I am always on predforte & azopt + the jells and the night drops. I am in Exeter..south of Fresno I think. Thanks for the help Ruth > > Ruth, > I'm sorry that your eyes are giving you fits. Guest guest
Thanks Tracie....I have called a local eye group..but have had not return phone call. I am doing the eye washes and I have the meds for shingles but dont't think that is is. I really think that it may be that I am allergic to something in this area and my eyes are in overdrive from it. It could be something as silly as the laundry detergent they use. I am going to stick it out until my return to Indiana on Thursday. I am about an hour south of Fresno. It is really beautiful...near the mountains. I have had a really wonderful time in spite of the eye issues. At least they know understand now why I haven't been here to see them in 3 years. Thanks again for your help...
