Great idea with the YMCA. Though their prices can seesm a bit out

of reach for those with financial problems, if you tell them you need

financial aide, they will give you some forms and make an appointment

for an interview with someone to discuss it. They ask for a list

of your income and expenses and then will ask you what you think you

can afford. I got a great deal for both myself and my son with

memberships and my son is going to preschool at the YMCA also.

Hi Maggie,

The Y is a great idea, and I have looked into it, but unfortunately

the one near me has alot of summer programs and after school meets and

so forth. I work evenings so the pool would have to be available to

me, ideally, between 1pm and 4pm (right when the kids are using it).

I don't get to sleep most nights until 4am so I wont be getting up

early! There is a town pool, however, that is fairly new and has a

gym with it, too. I want to but a one day membership to check it

out, but I havent gotten round to it. I WILL do that this week. If

it suits my needs, i'll try to scrape some money together to join!

Thanks for your help,
