Guest guest
Anne, developed mild hearing loss on a regular audio this fall. We just recently had an ABR done and it was normal. The audiologist told me the same thing that just because it is normal today does not mean it will be normal tomorrow. She said it is just the nature of this disease and to be thankful today it is ok. So we wait for the next one. TammyAReckling@... wrote: Hi Sue,Thanks so much for writing me back! Did your son ever have improvement in his auditory nerve before it stopped working? It's just so weird to me that it went from abnormal to normal and, again, this darn disease makes me crazy as I want to know what is going to happen....I mean, I'm thrilled that it's "normal", but, acc. to the doc, he could take another ABR next week and it could be "abnormal" - b/c of Asher's health status at the time... so why do we even test???Anne RPlease contact mito-owner with any problems or questions. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Thanks Tammy, It is a strange thing this disease. I try to be thankful for what my son has today and not be waiting for the 'other shoe' to drop tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know that your son has experienced this too. Helps me see it as 'normal' for mito. Anne R
