Rose I have a 36 year old daughter that is the same as Sam. I keep trying to tell her if you don't take care of yourself how are you going to take care of your sons? GRRRRRRRR I'm sure my mother would say the same about me. We whiz away all the advice & have to learn the hard way. I'm seeing the oral surgeon tomorrow and medicare doesn't pay for it. I should have had it taken care of before I ran out of the stupid COBRA that cost me a small fortune.Join our Sock Challenge for Orphans in Kazakhstan - 265 pairs needed by 9/15/07 http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/Mittens_ for_Akkol/ grannylunatic@...

???

Marla, Sam called me the other day to tell me that she

went to the E.R. for a toothache, one of her wisdom teeth. They told her

it was getting infected, gave her Rx's for an antibiotic & pain meds, and

told her to see a dentist. She is on Medicaid until she turns 19 &

she asked me if she would have to pay any co-pays for the meds. When I

was working, it was $1.00 for name brands & $ .50 for generics, but I told

her since I've been out for 4 years, it might have changed. So she said, " But

it shouldn't be more than $4.00, right? " I gritted my teeth &

said, " I don't know, Sam, but if you can only get one, get the antibiotic,

not the pain pills. And get in to see an oral surgeon, to get the problem

taken care of. " She agreed, yada, yada. Then I couldn't help

it; I had to add a comment, kind of an I-told-you-so thing. I actually

had her scheduled with an oral surgeon to remove her wisdom teeth when she ran

away the last time, so I said, " You know, Sam, you would have gotten those

teeth taken care of already if you had just stayed around a little

longer! " She agreed, again. I want to know, where is the

wisdom that's supposed to come with those wisdom teeth?!?

A merry heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17:22

" How

far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate

with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the

strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these. "
