I didn't tell everyone, fortunately, my boss, my

parents and siblings (one a medical doctor) were

all on my side whether I decided to have the

surgery or not. Certain co-workers needed to

know, I mange a staff of people and was going

away on medical leave, 8 were supportive-very

supportive, 2 were opposed.

I had to steer the " 2 opposed " from asking any

more questions and voicing any more opinions. I

simply did not allow them to discuss it with

me...like people trying to convert you to their

religion or political party!! HA!

A selective decision to tell only certian people

and to tell them only what they needed to know

was good for me.

Once I started losing weight nobody cared

anymore about how...all they wanted to know was

that I felt well and my health was not

jeopardized.
