Thank you in advance for letting me vent. If you are not in the mood to listen press delete.

I am jumping through the hoops with my health people, seen the psych, will be starting, lifestyle classes. . I am pre wls. My primary care doctor has left the practice with the reassuarance that there will be no lapse with my medical attention. So when I go to renew my meds I get only 2 out of the 3. No authorization on my paxil.

Hey I am the good patient do not overly medicate, am even tight with headache tablets and renew my meds in a mannery amount of time to allow all pharmacy to make contact yada yada. I called this morning. No problem.

no results yet. So DH goes to medical center to raise a little cane. They will take care of it immediately

by the time he gets home, there is a message on the phone. Paxil? what paxil.... no indication on the chart as to ever taken this before. YIKES!

Calling again, I insist on an appointment and this time get some snotty so and so ...

DH takes over the phone cuz by this time my bp is sky high. they can renew my meds after I see the doctor.... next week Thursday. YIKES DH again goes to bat for me and raises a little more helll on the phone. They decide to renew my meds (the ones that have not been ordered before. the appointment is still next week.

I plan on getting all my records and keeping them with me. I just have to be my own advicate and take care of myself.

Thanks for the vent

Kendall -

You've maybe already thought of this - but couldn't you take in the

bottle from your previous prescription of Paxil and SHOW them the

label? It ought to have the Rx# on it, as well as the prescribing Dr's

name and so forth. . . at least it will show that you really did have

a prescription from a Kaiser MD. And you could do this without

waiting for the appt. next week, too. . .
