Guest guest
Hi Vinutha - we ended up using an over the counter Folinic/B12 sublingual drop that I really like - by Highland. The down side is it has a small amount of fructose and a phenolic content. The upside is it is fast absorbing and very potent. We started out with one drop per day - after three weeks went up to two drops/day for about two weeks, then back to one drop/day for about a month, now down to one drop every other day. You'll get a sense when it's time to decrease if you see strange " sad " kind of mood changes. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.... best, -- Helen

Guest guest
> Dana what brand do you you use? I use Henry's brand [store brand of my local health food store]. I also like Natural Factors brand, which so far as I know is nation-wide. >>Do you give folinic acid with it? Folic acid. If I don't give folic acid, my kids have a lot of problems with B12. Guest guest
> Would you give them 800 mg of folic acid all at once, or would you > give it morning and evening? I gave 400mcg folic acid with each dose of oral MB12. If the dose was more than 2000mcg [which I did give for a while], then I gave each dose with 800mcg folic acid. Guest guest
> I have a few questions. My son has been on b-12 for a few months now. We saw mild changes. Then we began gfcf for two weeks and introduced enzymes. I have been giving him Magnesium, and a double dose of a multi vitamin. Does this vitamin contain iron? That would have really caused my son to regress. B12 can cause yeast overgrowth, especially if coupled with another intervention, like chelation, that also tends to cause yeast overgrowth. >>He has for the past week been on a rollercoaster. He has very good days, then wham! a bad day. Keep a journal. Write down everything he eats, his supplements, bms, therapies, behaviors, etc. You will hopefully see a pattern emerge. >>He also is sleeping alot more than usual. He takes two hour naps almost daily and sleeps generally 7-8 hours at night with very few night wakings. This is a common adult symptom of phenol intolerance, but some kids also have this symptom, instead of hyper http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm >>We aren't doing anyhting for yeast b/c I thought yeast was present only when you saw signs like pasty BM's and yeasty smelling urine. My son had yeast without any of those symptoms. His symptoms were sometimes accompanied by bms etc, but not usually. I would know he had yeast issues when he did certain behaviors. >>I also have given him an oral chelator Chelation generally aggravates yeast. Definitely increase your yeast protocol, see if that helps http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm >>that contains :2857 mg Vitamin C, 281mg magnesuim, 21mg zinc,20mg selenium,11mg sodium, and 57 mg trisodium EDTA, and 1164mg Aspartic acid. I don't give this daily b/c it seems to give him diarrhea, The vitamin C and the magnesium tend to cause diarrhea if too much is given. It does not contain a large amount of magnesium, but this is quite a large amount of vitamin C. Dana

Guest guest
We do both with my son. We do the shots while he's sleeping and he doesn't even notice. He is great about taking the spray. Both were fairly easy for us. We started when he was 4 and have been doing it for 2 years now Kerrie In a message dated 12/19/2007 12:58:37 P.M. I'm trying to determine if it's worth trying. He's 13 & we've never tried that. He's real sensitive. Guest guest
Please do not think I am dissing MB 12. It is likely 's articulation issue is auditory neuropathy and that is why E gets articulation for him but due to bleeding risk we are off any extra E. MB12 could help with auditory neuropathy. New multi has more of both so that may be enough. Part of the ruling in and out. If not then hematologist will help answer the E question and Neubrander is down the street for MB12 plus most any Dan can help with that. Guest guest
We started with the shots for 2 yrs with good results and transitioned to sublingual with no problems. Ive never used the powder and have heard good things about methyl mate when used as a spray, mixed reviews when used orally. We use a sublingual tablet by Klaire Labs. Guest guest
I am just now seeing this thread. Our DAN has had my son on the MB12 injections since May 2008. I am concerned about what you said about toxic levels of cobalt. Are the toxic levels of cobalt not an issue with the oral forms of MB12? > > > > > > Hello All > > > > > > Im giving my son mb12 injections for about a year and half now.Initially I had read it should be given for 2 to 3 yrs.We noticed changes earlier on.Now with chelation im wondering if i can give other products of mb12 like > > > > > > http://www.spectrumsupplements.com/content.asp?node=211 & pgid=254 & lang=en > > > > > > or > > > > > > http://www.spectrumsupplements.com/content.asp?node=297 & pgid=259 & lang=en > > > > > > Its hard to inject it as he runs away or doesnt seem to want it. > > > Has anyone used the above products or anyother products that i can get without prescription > > > > > > Thanks > > > Kara > > > > > >
